Out For A Walk In Pressmennan Wood #MySundayPhoto

Today we decided to get out and about and go for a walk in Pressmennan Wood.

It’s a few miles inland from Dunbar, along the coast from Edinburgh.

We managed to dodge a few rain showers under the trees.

My kids love to explore the woods and my son particularly likes to climb trees.

It was wet and muddy under foot but we managed to avoid too much mud in the car on the way home!

My daughter was fascinated by the tiny doors and windows in some of the trees.

She thought that Poppy from the Trolls might live in one of the houses.

It certainly kept her busy looking for more trolls’ houses.

Although she wasn’t so keen to meet a Bergen round the next corner.

At least we didn’t find any in Pressmennan Wood so we all got home just fine!

Looks like a lovely family day out, well done shower dodging though the trees provide pretty good cover too. #MySundayPhoto

    • We had planned to do the long walk around the wood but with the rain and my daughter getting quite tired we only managed the short one.
It was nice to be in the trees and to see some cygnets on the lake. I tried to take some photos of them but they didn’t come out so well!

We love waiting for the rain to stop under a tree too! Looks like a lovely walk =) #mysundayphoto

    • It was great thanks Merlinda. Looking forward to going back when the weather’s a bit nicer though!

  • My girls love exploring in the woods and have also started climbing trees

    Thank you for linking up

    • That’s cool Darren. My son wanted to climb all of the ones hanging over the lake. Typical! He didn’t get wet though apart from the rain.
