Today I reached the halfway point of the 30 Day Energy Boost Programme by Nutri Advanced.
Nutri Advanced kindly provided me with the programme free for me to try out.
The first two weeks of the programme didn’t start out well in that I had a cold and cough.
It meant that I didn’t feel like doing a lot of exercise and I wasn’t getting great sleep.
So my checklist isn’t as complete as I’d like it to be at this stage.
Since I started running a couple of years ago I very rarely drink alcohol.
I don’t expect that to change any time soon and even includes over the festive season.
I have managed to reduce my caffeine consumption somewhat but it’s not down to 50% less yet.
This is a work in progress and I plan to get this down to 50% less by the end of the programme,
I’ve been careful to avoid caffeine before 9am and after 5pm though to aid with sleep.
A huge positive for me has been drinking more water.
It’s surprising how difficult it can be to drink enough water during the day.
1.5 to 2 litres per day feels like a lot of water but I’ve updated my intake significantly.
I’m thinking of investing in an Ozmo Hydration Tracker to keep me even more motivated.
I’ve been working hard on improving the food I’m eating.
The recipes provided as part of the Energy Boost Programme have been useful.
Some have been more successful than others particularly where my kids are concerned.
We’ve all enjoyed the Delicious Vegetable Curry and Spicy Bean Burgers with Spinach.
My wife’s a vegetarian so we’ve focused on the vegetable-based dishes.
I’ve been experimenting a little too with the food list provided by Nutri Advanced.
I’m not the best cook in the world but I can muster up things from scratch when I need to.
The move to wholemeal bread hasn’t been entirely smooth, although wholemeal pitta bread is a hit.
And I still can’t help myself with a packet of crisps every now and again.
MegaMag® Energen Plus
I’ve been taking MegaMag® Energen Plus daily as part of the 30 Day Mini Energy Boost Programme.
It’s a high strength magnesium powder which can help to reduce tiredness and fatigue.
I had no idea it was essential for energy production.
Although I’m sure it’s doing some sterling work in the background I don’t feel a huge boost in energy at this stage.
It’s a shame I was ill for the first two weeks of the programme because I’m sure I’d be feeling differently now.
I’m hoping I’ll notice a real difference in the remaining 15 days.
At least I’m getting more sleep now and eating more healthily.
That coupled with the added vitamins and minerals from MegaMag® Energen Plus should give me a boost.
The 30 Day Mini Energy Boost Programme
Whatever happens in the remaining days of the programme, I’ve glad to have adjusted some of my eating habits.
I’d made a change in mindset when I started running but I wasn’t fully on board with healthy eating.
I’m still not all the way there yet but I can see the benefits from this type of programme.
It can start you off on the process of changing your mindset and taking the first step is a huge positive.
I’ll give another update after the 30 days are up to see how I feel after the mini programme is over.
Do you take any supplements and what benefits do you feel they provide you?
What are your energy levels like and would you benefit from an energy boost programme?
