Today is a new beginning for me.
I have wrestled with how I was going to move forward with blogging.
As things stood I felt disillusioned and couldn’t seem to adjust to the new direction I wanted to take my blog.
So a few days ago I took drastic action and deleted my old self-hosted WordPress blog.
It felt strangely liberating yet at the same time I mourned the last three years of my blogging life.
Maybe in hindsight, I should have left those blog posts intact and moved forward anyway.
But now it’s done, I can start again without looking back.
A New Beginning But What Does That Mean?
Today is a new day and it’s the beginning of my Tumblr life.
I don’t own the real estate and that’s okay for now I think.
I’m going to embrace this new blogging life in any case because I missed writing.
Time will tell whether Tumblr is the right place for me but I’m enjoying the fact I’m not having to pay for hosting my blog.
My blog will cover my experiences as a stay at home dad going forward.
It’s kind of where I was getting to with my old blog but it felt like I needed a fresh start.
Removing all the old blog posts has done that.
I plan to include blogging tips in the mix as well so hopefully it will appeal to some of my established readers too.
